How to keep a High End Brand While Meeting Clients In Person

Choose the right location

Firstly we want to find the right location and ambience that matches our brand. Think about how you want your client to feel from the experience.

The location needs to make the right first impression and fit your business ethos. The venue should be comfortable and suit your client’s needs.

Think about the other person

Whether your client is new or you have a long-standing relationship we still want to wow them. They have taken time out of their busy day to meet with us, so we need to make sure they leave feeling that was a worthwhile time investment.

Anticipate their needs

Once you get to know your clients and prospective clients you will get a feel for what vibe they require from a meeting with you.

Deciding an appropriate environment that is suited to them as well as aligned to your brand is a surefire way to win over potential clients from the moment you say hello. For instance, a wedding planner may choose to meet her client, a bride, in a quiet hotel lounge over champagne. Another planner with a different clientele may meet their client for cocktails in a London bar.

Hosting at your office

It may be that you have an office or retail store that you can host meetings at. If this is the case, remember to first pay attention to your client needs. If your office is up five flights of stairs and you know your client will not enjoy tackling the height then you’ll need to reconsider your meeting place.

If you usually have music on in your office it can be a good idea to turn this off for your meeting to help your clients relax, unwind and concentrate on the discussion.

Be sure to keep your workplace tidy and clean as this is all a representation of your brand and level of care and attention. If you’re unsure how your office would look to a visitor, invite a friend in as a trial and embrace their feedback.

Try and see the environment through the eyes of a customer and apply your brand values to it. If you only have a desk to sit either sides of then it may be worth investing in a sumptuous sofa or seating area so you can host informal meetings – if that’s how your clients will respond best.

Lastly…

It’s a good idea to remember we are always representing our brand. Online and offline, we are constantly communicating in a way that showcases what our brand is all about. It’s key to focus energy on your online presence but your high-end brand must always flow into your in-person interactions too.

Until next Time... Stay Gucci.
